You get it done

Providing our customers with flawless logistics services from our 50,000 m2 warehouse with 200 colleagues. That is what we do as DSV in Amsterdam. But in order to guarantee this, our facilities department ensures that all facilities at our location work and are maintained perfectly. And that everything needed for this is available. In short, you participate in it!

How do you do this? With your extensive knowledge and experience in the field of facilities, you monitor all activities and procedures within your field. You work closely with your direct colleague Willem and a technical facility assistant. As a team you are a point of contact for colleagues who have a facility question. From the replacement of a lamp to an order from your stock. And if something is not in stock, it is your job to buy it in the short term.

You keep contracts, certifications and conditions up-to-date within the applicable service level agreements. As a facility specialist, it is your responsibility to negotiate rates, requests and projects with external suppliers. In addition, you are the internal and external contact person for maintenance and cleaning work. You achieve this by: 

• handle first-line malfunction reports, perform/coordinate technical maintenance on the buildings, business equipment and infrastructure; 
• coordinating procurement in the field of facility services; 
• manage and deliver the stock of consumables, such as tape, pallets, packaging materials and more.

Your team stands out within DSV because of the inexhaustible knowledge about buildings and installations. You work closely with Willem, who has a lot of knowledge and expertise in Amsterdam. And likes to teach it to you. To work as a team! And also have a lot of fun at work. Because you have to laugh.

You bring

• experience within a facility job. For example, as a facility employee, maintenance employee or technical employee or similar; 
• good command of both the Dutch and English language; 
• common sense, practical attitude and solution-oriented thinking.
