Different elements will prevent riskful interruptions in the end-to-end cold chain, such as the use of cool dollies airside on the tarmac both in South Africa and Belgium, and the highly specialised airside cool facility in Johannesburg. An added bonus is the full end-to-end visibility by our company-specific IT systems.

With our brand new airside pharma warehousing facility at OR Tambo International Airport, Africa’s biggest and busiest airport close to Johannesburg, we now offer a secure door-to-door service, meeting the highest standards of in-transit handling and temperature controlled storage. Positioned in the cargo section of the airport and adjacent to the highway, it enables easy and fast collection from the various airlines as well as easy access and shorter delivery times.

We ensure temperature protection in Seafreight - also for LCL

DSV Sea Healthcare groupage offers the benefits of temperature integrity, even for consignments less than a container load. This avoids having to wait until a container is full, allowing for smaller and more frequent shipments.

Pan-European packing takes place at our temperature controlled facilities in Belgium. Shipments are then transported to the closest sea port, from where ships sail weekly to Durban (South Africa). From there, goods go by road to Johannesburg and are unpacked at our own pharma warehouse for onward distribution. 
Also in oceanfreight, we can ensure a fully closed cold chain at any given point in time in an LCL framework.
